LHN Ornaments of the Month!!

Got the Fa-La-La ornament stitched all up & decide to do the Pear Tree one as well. These were so easy & quick to stitch up & they look so pretty!! Now I need to get the other one in the series done, maybe start it in Feb. I haven’t decide yet on how I am going to finish these 2 off yet, but I have time to think about it! Not sure what I will be stitching next, I have my eye on a cute little Feb freebie I think I might stitch up in the next few days. Not sure how much stitching I will get in this week, we have some friends coming to visit for a few days, so I’ll just have to see what goes on.

Fa-La-La was stitched on 32ct. Sassy’s Fabric Sugared Coffee, I think I am going to leave the eye’s off the faces on this one!

For the Pear Tree I coffee stained my own 16ct fabric, love the way this one came out, gives it an old style look to it!

The weather has been wet & cold the past few days here. Rained all weekend …yuck …we do have a sunny day today so maybe things will dry out a bit!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Busy Sewing Week!

This past week I thought I would sew a little bit! First is these cute little needlecases. I was reading though some blogs & came across one where a lady from Sew Prim Khris  had made some cute little needlecases. She had a wonderful tutorial on how to make them, so I thought I would give it a try. These are just to cute!! They were very easy & quick to sew up.….these will make wonderful little gifts!

Well with being in a sewing mood, I had to see what else I could do! So I decided to look though my finishing tote & found a cute stitch I had done a while back & wanted to make it into a little needlebook. I love the way this turned out, so pretty! This little design is from LHN “Schoolgirl Lessons” I only stitched the top half of the design. I can’t remember what I stitched it on, looks like either 18ct or 22ct, I did use Dragons Blood for Hand-dyed fibers.

Fa La La is coming along, I am about half way done stitching it, it is turning out so nice, I can’t wait to get it all stitched up, maybe another day or so I should have it done. Then after that not sure what I will be stitching, but I do have my eye on some other things I would like to get stitched!

I will go for now until next time! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

With a new year starting I thought I would try to post to my blog more. It has been a long time since I posted anything on my blog & have been thinking about it for the past few weeks. So with that said I will try to post more this year…..what is the saying “Out with the old, in with the new” this is so true in many ways :)

For my first post: I took the past year off of one of my favorite crafts, Cross Stitching. I love to cross stitch, but it seemed that I just lost my Mojo last year. I tried to pick up the needle many times though the year & just couldn’t find my stitching MoJo…in Dec I finally found it yea!! I decide for my first stitch to welcome me back into my stitching I would do a small stitch from Little House Needleworks “Winter Sampler“ from the 2009 JCS ornament issue. I love stitching LHN designs, they are quick & easy to stitch up :)

For my next project I am stitching LHN “Fa-La-La” ornament of the month, I will post that when I am done stitching it!

I will end for now until next time! Thanks for stopping by:)

I stitched this on Country French Linen 32 ct Latte.
