Tucks Of Love!!

I received my wonderful tuck from the “Tucks Of Love” TS exchange yesterday!! Brenda was my partner & I just love the design she stitched for this cute tuck fabric!! I love it :) I am stitching mine up for my partner & sending it out to my partner this week. Once she receives it I will post what I stitched for her…I don’t want for her to see it in case she reads my blog ;)

Also I received some fabric I ordered from Enchanted Fabrics yesterday! This was my first order from them & I the colors are so pretty & I like the fabric! The colors are a little darker then I thought they would be, but that is ok!! I can’t wait to find the right design to stitch on them!! Here are the colors I ordered CafĂ© Mocha 28 ct Jobelan Flair, Evergreen 32 ct Joblan Flair & Raindrop 28 ct Opalesecent Lugana Flair <---I really love this color!! I already started making my want list for my next order :o)

Also I would like to thank everyone who has visited my blog & ones who left comments, I enjoy reading them!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Jan. BC Snapper Finish!

It has been some time sicne I have made a post & thought I better update on what I have been doing these past few weeks.

I Finially got my Jan BC Snapper square done & even before Jan. is over WoooHooo!! I have decided I wanted to stitch this one on 32ct Lambswool instead of the 28ct. cream, because the white wasn’t showing up to well on the cream. I am debating if I will use seed beads or French knots for the eyes, I will think on this for a bit..lol I really like the way it has stitched up on the fabric & now I am ready to start my Feb. square :)

I am also working on my LHN “Home of a Needleworker” but it is going slow right now, so I don't have a WIP pic. yet. I have also started last week on “Making a New Friend” design by Vee This is a stitch & frame kit I bought from her & just love the way it is coming along! Once I get it all stitched I will post a pic. I am hoping to have it done this week sometime!

I'v Been Tagged- Six Weird things

My friend Mary Ann has tagged me!! This is the first time I have been tagged & I wasn't sure I would be able to come up with 6 weird things about me, but I thought I would give it a try….lol Ok so I have thought & thought of some weird things I do & have even asked my kids if I do anything weird (make a note, don't ask your kids about weird things) LOL Here is some of the weird things I do!

Ok, here are the rules:

The rules: Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird things about you." People who get tagged need to write in their blog of 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.

1: I like to eat potato chips on my peanut butter & jelly sandwich
2: I laugh really weird.
3: I have very weird dreams!
4: I am always saying things back words… but I know what I mean..lol
5: I can’t have any curtains opened after dark..I am afraid someone is looking in!
6: When I eat jellybeans, I pick all the black jellybeans out first & eat them before any other colors!

Here are the people I tagged! I only have 4

First Finish For 2007!!

Here is my first finish for this year!! I wanted to stitch something quick to feel like I have accomplished something! I have wanted to stitch this nice freebie “Two Sheep” by LHN for sometimes now & I am glad I choose it to be my first finish for the New Year, I love the way it turned out! I think I will make it into a needlebook! I have never made a needlebook & this will be perfect for my first one! I stitched this on 32ct Lambswool with DMC & started it late Sunday night & finished it late Monday night, not to bad for a quick stitch :-)

I also worked on LHN “Home of a Needleworker” over the weekend & have made a lot of progress on it! I have the house, top border & then my name & year to do, I have updated a WIP picture of it. I will work more on it this weekend. I am thinking that all my WIP’s will be my weekend projects. Hopefully I will get them done that way.

Today is BC Snapper Sal stitch day. I am going to start on the January square. Here is what I have done so far from last Thurs. I will post another update picture after this week Thurs. I am really excited to start on the Januarys square!

Happy Stitching!

BC Snapper SAL Starts!!

I would like to wish a very "Happy Birthday Kyle" my son who turned 18 today :-)

WooHooo!! Today is the start of the BC Snapper SAL with Mary Ann! I have decided to stitch mine on ivory 28ct with all DMC threads & I think it will turn out really nice! I probably wont post a picture for a while; there won’t be much to post today! Mary Ann & I have decided we will stitch on Tuesdays & Thursday for our SAL, so that way we have other days to do our other stitching! I would like to get the January Square done by the end of the month & the border around that square! I am excited to start & my needle is ready to start smoking..lol

Last night I stitched on my LHN “Home of a Needleworker” I started it back in Oct or Nov & it got put to the side because I just had way too much going on for the Holidays. I decide to take a picture of my WIP & post it on the side bar under WIP, I think it will give me an incentive to get it done! I did get quite a bit done on it the last 2 nights & will stitch on it again on Friday. I want to get this one finished & get it framed & hung on my wall as soon as I can. I have the perfect spot for it in my house. When you walk in the front door, we have like a foyer & the first wall you see is where I would like it to hang! Once I get this one done I would like to either start on “Two Blue House” by LHN or “Forest Snowfall” by CCN both of these were Christmas gifts from friends & it will be a hard decision to make at which one to stitch first, because I love them both!!

Yesterday was a sewing day for me. I am making some Tiny Tucks for a stitch exchange on one of my MB’s the theme for this tuck exchange is Valentines! I found some really cute fabrics & can’t wait for the ladies to get tucks & see what they stitch for their partner! These exchange are so much fun!

Happy Stitching!

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a Happy & Prosper New Year!

My New Year has had a great start!! First I have my last finish form 2006…well sort of!! It is the BC Snapperville! I was able to get it all stitched but the flag on 6th block! I went to get my Lancaster Red floss & it wasn’t in with all my other floss! I must have used it & miss placed it (I think the 'ole frog must have snatched it) It is no where to be found & I know I had it! I have some on the way to me, but wont be here for a few more days, so I will still consider this piece as my last stitch of 2006! I still need to add the snaps & buttons to it & have my DH make the frame for it! Hopefully it will be hanging on my wall soon :-)

This morning I made my first stitching purchase for 2007! I subscribe to The Gift Of Stitching! There is a Bee Pinkeep design by Diane Williams from Little House Needleworks & her Daughter from Country Cottage Needleworks in this months issue. I love both of these designers & just had to get that pattern!! I have been wanting to make a pinkeep for sometime now & what a wonderful pattern to make my first pinkeep from :o)

I am getting ready to do a SAL with Mary Ann! We are going to stitch the BC Snappers 2004 monthly charts. We will be stitching one a month & I am really looking forward to this SAL! I was in an R&R about 2 –3 yrs. ago & one of the ladies had chosen the BC Snappers & when it was my turn to stitch them, I really liked them & have been wanting to stitch them ever since. I pulled all my threads & have my charts ready. I ordered some fabric for it & now just waiting for the fabric to arrive & then I will be ready to start. YEHA!! I am planning to stitch it on 32 ct Ivory Jobelan with DMC threads. I also thought about Lambswool for it, so I order that as well..lol ! I will see which one will look best with the colors!

I am still working on my blog & will be adding to it these next few days. I would like to get some type of theme going & looks like it may take sometime!

Happy Stitching!
