Happy Easter & Recent Finishes!

Like to wish everyone a Happy Easter :) It has been some time since I have posted! I have been busy these past few weeks & just haven’t made the time to up date my blog. I have a few finishes I have done the past 2 weeks & also I can show the tuck I made for the Sweet Tuck exchange on TS.

SMO Peep!! What a fun stitch to do!! I just love this little chick..lol I wasn’t sure how to finish this one off, so I thought a pinkeep would be cute. I am very pleased with it!

Another SMO Corner E….I loved stitching this one, it is so cute!! Isn’t the bunny egg to cute!, Sandy has so cute ideas!! I stitched this on the DMC Marble 14 ct fabric (I really like the fabric) & DMC floss the colors just pop on it! I think I will make this one into a pillow!

Here is the cube I made from the SMO Melon I stitched a few weeks ago! This was my first attempt at making a cube & I really like the way it turned out! I had some watermelon fabric that I thought would go perfect with it! The cube was easy to do & what a fun way to finish of a project!! I will be making more of these for sure : )

Last one! My Sweet Spring tuck, this was another fun exchange! I love this tuck & almost didn’t want to send it on it’s way!!

Well that is about it for this time. I am stitching on my BC Snapper April & maybe will have it finished this week sometime!

Until next time! Happy Stitching :)

2 Weekend Finishes!

I was able to get 2 quick things stitched up over this past weekend! Both of these were so much fun to stitch up. First is a freebie from SMO called “Melon” this was such a fun design to do! I stitched it on the new DMC 14 ct Marble Aida a lt. Blue color with DMC floss. I just love the little bees swarming around the watermelons. I think I will make this into a cube, I never made one so I am excited about trying it out!! I love to look for different ways to finish things :)

Next is a cute “Happy St. Pattys Day” bear, this was so much fun to stitch!! This is a freebie from Vee’s Cross*Stitch Designs and Frames Newsletter! I stitched it on 28 ct mint linen, used CPR Floss & DMC…isn’t that little bear cute looking over the clover :)

Until next time! Happy Stitching!

March BC Snapper

After a frog visiting me for the past 6 days I finally got my March BC Snapper square done! YEAY!! This was a very quick one to stitch up! I did send the frog packing, but he just insisted coming back!! I sure hope that he has left for a long time now! I wonder if the reason for all the frogs visiting my stitching is because Spring is in the air here at my house….lol

Stitching for March I have a few things I need & would like to do! I need to stitch my “Sweet Spring” tuck for the TS tuck exchange for this month. I have my pattern already picked out, so I am hoping to start on it this weekend. Also there is another Stitch-N-Swap on TS, this month is to stitch an egg, so I have been looking for a nice pattern for that one as well. I did received my Stitch-N-Swap from last month, it is a pretty Celtic Hearts stitched by Shelli. I don’t know how I will finish this off yet! I think we will have the Stitch-N-Swap each month & if participate in each month then when we are done I might make a nice wall hanging out of the squares I collected :)

Until next time! Happy Stitching!

Lil' Snowwoman

Here is a little snowwoman I stitched up today to complete my Feb. goals! This was a fun little one to stitch up. It is "Lil Snow Lights a Candle" it was a freebie I got awhile back! There are a few more that are like this & I am thinking of maybe stitching them also! I haven't decide how I want to finish this one!

With a new month aproching, I am ready to start on my March BC Snapper, so I will begin stitching that next week :) This weekend I would like to concentrate stitching on LHN "Home of a Needlework" the house is taking longer then I thought it would!

Until nxt time...Happy Stitching!

2 Finishes!!

It has been awhile since I posted & I have been busy! I made the tucks for the TS “Sweet Spring” tuck exchange I got them all sent out to the ladies & now I can’t wait to see what they stitch for them!! Also I wanted to concentrate on my goals for the month. I got 4 of them done so far & I might be able to do a quick Ornament tomorrow evening if I find a small enough one to stitch..LOL If not I will be happy with what goals I got done for the month :-)

Here is my very first pinkeep WooHoo!! It is the Bee pinkeep from the Gift of Stitching online mag. Design by LHN & CCN. This was a very nice one to stitch up & I like the way it turned out! I stitched it on 28ct natural linen with DMC floss & I had some pretty spring fabric for the backing. I was going to use cording, but decide on the ribbon instead. I had fun putting this one together & I am sure I will be making more of them soon :-)

“May Luck Bloom For You” This is what I decide to stitch for the TS Stitch-N-Swap! It is a SMO freebie from last year; I stitched it on 28ct Mint linen with DMC floss. It was a very quick stitch, just the way I like them ;-) I hope the person that receives likes it :-)

Until next time! Happy Stitching!

BC Snapper Feb Square!!

I finished my BC Snapper Feb square the other day! This was a fun one to stitch up! Now I am ready to move on to the March square & will start on it on the fist Tues. of March! Now that I have my Feb square done, I can move on to some of the other projects I have lined up for this month…. looks like half the month of Feb. is already gone! I guess I better get my needle smoking if I am to get my goals done..lol

I am working on my SAL Bee Pinkeep & have it almost done! It is stitching up really quick. I will post a picture once I get it done into a pinkeep. I also will start stitching on my Feb Stitch-N-Swap this weekend. The design I picked out for it, should be a quick stitch, just the kind I like..LOL

Also I wanted to share with you the tuck I stitched for my partner for the "Tucks Of Love" exchange I was in! She has received her tuck so now I can post a pic. of what I stitched for her! I just love the little heart I stitched for this one & she really liked it! These exchanges are so much fun & I really enjoy sewing the tucks for all the ladies & then seeing what they stitch for the tuck! :o)

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

1 Goal Done & A Finish!

I managed to mark off one of my goals for the month :) On the TS MB there is a Heart SAL & we needed to stitch a single heart & I found this cute little one from a San-Man freebie from last year! Being inspired by Becky Bee’s finishes & thought I would make it into a needlecase! This is my very first attempt at making a needlecase & I think it came out really great! I am sure I will be making more of these real soon :)

Also I finished stitching “Making A New Friend”! This is one of Vee’s Stitch‘N Frame kits. Isn’t it so cute!! I stitched this on 28ct. white opalescents fabric & used CPR floss that came with the kit! This was such a fun stitch to do & now I can’t wait to get it in the frame!! I will get some mounting board this week so I can get it framed & then I will post a picture of it!!

Thanks for visiting!
Happy Stitching!!

Stitching Goals!

How many really set stitching goals? This was a question I asked myself the other day & really thought about it & decided to try some stitching goals for the month of February! Now I am one that really never sets any kind of goals for my stitching, because I just like to stitch when ever & what ever I feel like. In January I was able to get 2 projects done, but not as many I was really was hoping for. But still I was able to stitch a lot more then I thought I would so that is a plus!! Maybe if I had set some goals set for January I would have got more done!! I have so many things I would like to stitch & get some WIP’s done that maybe if I had them etched in stone (sort of speak)..lol I might get more finished! For the month of February, there are a few project ideas on the TS MB that I would like to participate in & I have 2 SAL’s to do this month, so I think I am will give it a try & set up some stitching goals :) I have added a February Stitching Goal list on my side bar & will mark them off as they get done! Wish me luck for my first attempt!! If all goes well I will be adding more goals for each month!

Also I got my “Tuck Of Love” exchange mailed off to my partner the other day & can’t wait for her to get it!! I think it came out really nice & I just love the tuck fabric I used for it! Once she receives it I will post a picture!

I am just about done with “Making a New Friend”, I have a little more backstitching to do & then I will be done & will post a picture soon! I just love this design it is too cute!!!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Tucks Of Love!!

I received my wonderful tuck from the “Tucks Of Love” TS exchange yesterday!! Brenda was my partner & I just love the design she stitched for this cute tuck fabric!! I love it :) I am stitching mine up for my partner & sending it out to my partner this week. Once she receives it I will post what I stitched for her…I don’t want for her to see it in case she reads my blog ;)

Also I received some fabric I ordered from Enchanted Fabrics yesterday! This was my first order from them & I the colors are so pretty & I like the fabric! The colors are a little darker then I thought they would be, but that is ok!! I can’t wait to find the right design to stitch on them!! Here are the colors I ordered CafĂ© Mocha 28 ct Jobelan Flair, Evergreen 32 ct Joblan Flair & Raindrop 28 ct Opalesecent Lugana Flair <---I really love this color!! I already started making my want list for my next order :o)

Also I would like to thank everyone who has visited my blog & ones who left comments, I enjoy reading them!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Jan. BC Snapper Finish!

It has been some time sicne I have made a post & thought I better update on what I have been doing these past few weeks.

I Finially got my Jan BC Snapper square done & even before Jan. is over WoooHooo!! I have decided I wanted to stitch this one on 32ct Lambswool instead of the 28ct. cream, because the white wasn’t showing up to well on the cream. I am debating if I will use seed beads or French knots for the eyes, I will think on this for a bit..lol I really like the way it has stitched up on the fabric & now I am ready to start my Feb. square :)

I am also working on my LHN “Home of a Needleworker” but it is going slow right now, so I don't have a WIP pic. yet. I have also started last week on “Making a New Friend” design by Vee This is a stitch & frame kit I bought from her & just love the way it is coming along! Once I get it all stitched I will post a pic. I am hoping to have it done this week sometime!

I'v Been Tagged- Six Weird things

My friend Mary Ann has tagged me!! This is the first time I have been tagged & I wasn't sure I would be able to come up with 6 weird things about me, but I thought I would give it a try….lol Ok so I have thought & thought of some weird things I do & have even asked my kids if I do anything weird (make a note, don't ask your kids about weird things) LOL Here is some of the weird things I do!

Ok, here are the rules:

The rules: Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird things about you." People who get tagged need to write in their blog of 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.

1: I like to eat potato chips on my peanut butter & jelly sandwich
2: I laugh really weird.
3: I have very weird dreams!
4: I am always saying things back words… but I know what I mean..lol
5: I can’t have any curtains opened after dark..I am afraid someone is looking in!
6: When I eat jellybeans, I pick all the black jellybeans out first & eat them before any other colors!

Here are the people I tagged! I only have 4

First Finish For 2007!!

Here is my first finish for this year!! I wanted to stitch something quick to feel like I have accomplished something! I have wanted to stitch this nice freebie “Two Sheep” by LHN for sometimes now & I am glad I choose it to be my first finish for the New Year, I love the way it turned out! I think I will make it into a needlebook! I have never made a needlebook & this will be perfect for my first one! I stitched this on 32ct Lambswool with DMC & started it late Sunday night & finished it late Monday night, not to bad for a quick stitch :-)

I also worked on LHN “Home of a Needleworker” over the weekend & have made a lot of progress on it! I have the house, top border & then my name & year to do, I have updated a WIP picture of it. I will work more on it this weekend. I am thinking that all my WIP’s will be my weekend projects. Hopefully I will get them done that way.

Today is BC Snapper Sal stitch day. I am going to start on the January square. Here is what I have done so far from last Thurs. I will post another update picture after this week Thurs. I am really excited to start on the Januarys square!

Happy Stitching!

BC Snapper SAL Starts!!

I would like to wish a very "Happy Birthday Kyle" my son who turned 18 today :-)

WooHooo!! Today is the start of the BC Snapper SAL with Mary Ann! I have decided to stitch mine on ivory 28ct with all DMC threads & I think it will turn out really nice! I probably wont post a picture for a while; there won’t be much to post today! Mary Ann & I have decided we will stitch on Tuesdays & Thursday for our SAL, so that way we have other days to do our other stitching! I would like to get the January Square done by the end of the month & the border around that square! I am excited to start & my needle is ready to start smoking..lol

Last night I stitched on my LHN “Home of a Needleworker” I started it back in Oct or Nov & it got put to the side because I just had way too much going on for the Holidays. I decide to take a picture of my WIP & post it on the side bar under WIP, I think it will give me an incentive to get it done! I did get quite a bit done on it the last 2 nights & will stitch on it again on Friday. I want to get this one finished & get it framed & hung on my wall as soon as I can. I have the perfect spot for it in my house. When you walk in the front door, we have like a foyer & the first wall you see is where I would like it to hang! Once I get this one done I would like to either start on “Two Blue House” by LHN or “Forest Snowfall” by CCN both of these were Christmas gifts from friends & it will be a hard decision to make at which one to stitch first, because I love them both!!

Yesterday was a sewing day for me. I am making some Tiny Tucks for a stitch exchange on one of my MB’s the theme for this tuck exchange is Valentines! I found some really cute fabrics & can’t wait for the ladies to get tucks & see what they stitch for their partner! These exchange are so much fun!

Happy Stitching!

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a Happy & Prosper New Year!

My New Year has had a great start!! First I have my last finish form 2006…well sort of!! It is the BC Snapperville! I was able to get it all stitched but the flag on 6th block! I went to get my Lancaster Red floss & it wasn’t in with all my other floss! I must have used it & miss placed it (I think the 'ole frog must have snatched it) It is no where to be found & I know I had it! I have some on the way to me, but wont be here for a few more days, so I will still consider this piece as my last stitch of 2006! I still need to add the snaps & buttons to it & have my DH make the frame for it! Hopefully it will be hanging on my wall soon :-)

This morning I made my first stitching purchase for 2007! I subscribe to The Gift Of Stitching! There is a Bee Pinkeep design by Diane Williams from Little House Needleworks & her Daughter from Country Cottage Needleworks in this months issue. I love both of these designers & just had to get that pattern!! I have been wanting to make a pinkeep for sometime now & what a wonderful pattern to make my first pinkeep from :o)

I am getting ready to do a SAL with Mary Ann! We are going to stitch the BC Snappers 2004 monthly charts. We will be stitching one a month & I am really looking forward to this SAL! I was in an R&R about 2 –3 yrs. ago & one of the ladies had chosen the BC Snappers & when it was my turn to stitch them, I really liked them & have been wanting to stitch them ever since. I pulled all my threads & have my charts ready. I ordered some fabric for it & now just waiting for the fabric to arrive & then I will be ready to start. YEHA!! I am planning to stitch it on 32 ct Ivory Jobelan with DMC threads. I also thought about Lambswool for it, so I order that as well..lol ! I will see which one will look best with the colors!

I am still working on my blog & will be adding to it these next few days. I would like to get some type of theme going & looks like it may take sometime!

Happy Stitching!
