LHN Ornaments of the Month!!

Got the Fa-La-La ornament stitched all up & decide to do the Pear Tree one as well. These were so easy & quick to stitch up & they look so pretty!! Now I need to get the other one in the series done, maybe start it in Feb. I haven’t decide yet on how I am going to finish these 2 off yet, but I have time to think about it! Not sure what I will be stitching next, I have my eye on a cute little Feb freebie I think I might stitch up in the next few days. Not sure how much stitching I will get in this week, we have some friends coming to visit for a few days, so I’ll just have to see what goes on.

Fa-La-La was stitched on 32ct. Sassy’s Fabric Sugared Coffee, I think I am going to leave the eye’s off the faces on this one!

For the Pear Tree I coffee stained my own 16ct fabric, love the way this one came out, gives it an old style look to it!

The weather has been wet & cold the past few days here. Rained all weekend …yuck …we do have a sunny day today so maybe things will dry out a bit!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Busy Sewing Week!

This past week I thought I would sew a little bit! First is these cute little needlecases. I was reading though some blogs & came across one where a lady from Sew Prim Khris  had made some cute little needlecases. She had a wonderful tutorial on how to make them, so I thought I would give it a try. These are just to cute!! They were very easy & quick to sew up.….these will make wonderful little gifts!

Well with being in a sewing mood, I had to see what else I could do! So I decided to look though my finishing tote & found a cute stitch I had done a while back & wanted to make it into a little needlebook. I love the way this turned out, so pretty! This little design is from LHN “Schoolgirl Lessons” I only stitched the top half of the design. I can’t remember what I stitched it on, looks like either 18ct or 22ct, I did use Dragons Blood for Hand-dyed fibers.

Fa La La is coming along, I am about half way done stitching it, it is turning out so nice, I can’t wait to get it all stitched up, maybe another day or so I should have it done. Then after that not sure what I will be stitching, but I do have my eye on some other things I would like to get stitched!

I will go for now until next time! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

With a new year starting I thought I would try to post to my blog more. It has been a long time since I posted anything on my blog & have been thinking about it for the past few weeks. So with that said I will try to post more this year…..what is the saying “Out with the old, in with the new” this is so true in many ways :)

For my first post: I took the past year off of one of my favorite crafts, Cross Stitching. I love to cross stitch, but it seemed that I just lost my Mojo last year. I tried to pick up the needle many times though the year & just couldn’t find my stitching MoJo…in Dec I finally found it yea!! I decide for my first stitch to welcome me back into my stitching I would do a small stitch from Little House Needleworks “Winter Sampler“ from the 2009 JCS ornament issue. I love stitching LHN designs, they are quick & easy to stitch up :)

For my next project I am stitching LHN “Fa-La-La” ornament of the month, I will post that when I am done stitching it!

I will end for now until next time! Thanks for stopping by:)

I stitched this on Country French Linen 32 ct Latte.

Happy Easter & Recent Finishes!

Like to wish everyone a Happy Easter :) It has been some time since I have posted! I have been busy these past few weeks & just haven’t made the time to up date my blog. I have a few finishes I have done the past 2 weeks & also I can show the tuck I made for the Sweet Tuck exchange on TS.

SMO Peep!! What a fun stitch to do!! I just love this little chick..lol I wasn’t sure how to finish this one off, so I thought a pinkeep would be cute. I am very pleased with it!

Another SMO Corner E….I loved stitching this one, it is so cute!! Isn’t the bunny egg to cute!, Sandy has so cute ideas!! I stitched this on the DMC Marble 14 ct fabric (I really like the fabric) & DMC floss the colors just pop on it! I think I will make this one into a pillow!

Here is the cube I made from the SMO Melon I stitched a few weeks ago! This was my first attempt at making a cube & I really like the way it turned out! I had some watermelon fabric that I thought would go perfect with it! The cube was easy to do & what a fun way to finish of a project!! I will be making more of these for sure : )

Last one! My Sweet Spring tuck, this was another fun exchange! I love this tuck & almost didn’t want to send it on it’s way!!

Well that is about it for this time. I am stitching on my BC Snapper April & maybe will have it finished this week sometime!

Until next time! Happy Stitching :)

2 Weekend Finishes!

I was able to get 2 quick things stitched up over this past weekend! Both of these were so much fun to stitch up. First is a freebie from SMO called “Melon” this was such a fun design to do! I stitched it on the new DMC 14 ct Marble Aida a lt. Blue color with DMC floss. I just love the little bees swarming around the watermelons. I think I will make this into a cube, I never made one so I am excited about trying it out!! I love to look for different ways to finish things :)

Next is a cute “Happy St. Pattys Day” bear, this was so much fun to stitch!! This is a freebie from Vee’s Cross*Stitch Designs and Frames Newsletter! I stitched it on 28 ct mint linen, used CPR Floss & DMC…isn’t that little bear cute looking over the clover :)

Until next time! Happy Stitching!

March BC Snapper

After a frog visiting me for the past 6 days I finally got my March BC Snapper square done! YEAY!! This was a very quick one to stitch up! I did send the frog packing, but he just insisted coming back!! I sure hope that he has left for a long time now! I wonder if the reason for all the frogs visiting my stitching is because Spring is in the air here at my house….lol

Stitching for March I have a few things I need & would like to do! I need to stitch my “Sweet Spring” tuck for the TS tuck exchange for this month. I have my pattern already picked out, so I am hoping to start on it this weekend. Also there is another Stitch-N-Swap on TS, this month is to stitch an egg, so I have been looking for a nice pattern for that one as well. I did received my Stitch-N-Swap from last month, it is a pretty Celtic Hearts stitched by Shelli. I don’t know how I will finish this off yet! I think we will have the Stitch-N-Swap each month & if participate in each month then when we are done I might make a nice wall hanging out of the squares I collected :)

Until next time! Happy Stitching!

Lil' Snowwoman

Here is a little snowwoman I stitched up today to complete my Feb. goals! This was a fun little one to stitch up. It is "Lil Snow Lights a Candle" it was a freebie I got awhile back! There are a few more that are like this & I am thinking of maybe stitching them also! I haven't decide how I want to finish this one!

With a new month aproching, I am ready to start on my March BC Snapper, so I will begin stitching that next week :) This weekend I would like to concentrate stitching on LHN "Home of a Needlework" the house is taking longer then I thought it would!

Until nxt time...Happy Stitching!
